How to Boost Your Download Speed

Method 1 of 6: Speeding Up Your DNS Server

Visit an Internet speed testing website and take note of your download and upload speed. You're going to want a benchmark, so that you can compare the before speed (slower) to the after speed (faster).
- To get to an internet speed testing website, simply type "Internet speed test" into a search engine and find one that will perform a test for free. There should be plenty of options to choose from.
- Once you are at an Internet speed testing website, input your geographic location (if necessary) and perform the test. The test should tell you your download speed as well as your upload speed. Take note of these numbers.

Go to where your computer stores its DNS information.^[1] The location of this information will be different depending on what operating system you're using. Here's how to get there:
- Windows 7/Vista: Start → Control Panel → View network status and tasks → View status (click on your local or wireless connection) → Properties → Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) → Properties. Once you are here, click on "Use the following DNS server addresses."
- Mac OSX: System Preferences → Network → View status (click on your local or wireless connection) → Advanced → DNS

Remove the old DNS number and type in two or three open DNS server addresses. Open DNS server addresses include "208.67.222.222" and "208.67.220.220" for example. Apply the changes once finished.
- If you want to search for custom DNS server addresses, use an application like Gibson Research Corporation's Domain Name Speed Benchmark orNamebench. These will test your system and suggest benchmark addresses that you can use.

Close out your browser, open it again, and test out the speed of your new DNS address. Go back to the same speed test website you used earlier and see for yourself how changing your DNS can boost your internet speed.

How I came to know?

A couple of days ago I saw my sites followers which were very less. Then I decided to join all my facebook friends to google plus to increase some of them. Since just now I am writting this post but I have not added my fb friends to google plus. I will do that after wards.

I visited wiki for some different error on gmail but at last at bottom there I found this great tutorial for adding all facebook friends to gmail and also in google +. And thats it I thought that it would be my next post and that's why this post is here today.

And login to your faebook account from there.
Now click on "load friends".
Wait for some time till your all friends are loaded.

Copy full code in your computer.
Now open microsoft excel or any program which can save as .csv.
Paste that code and save it as following directory

File name - facebook.csv
Save as type - all files

Login to your gmail account.
On the left hand side select contacts > import contacts.
And import your facebook.csv file in that.
You would like to create a new group named "facebook friends".
All of your friends should be successfully import, and now you can organise them with google +.

Now open settings.
And go to Network settings.
Search for DNS adress in it.
And replace that DNS address with the following provided DNS addresses.

Google DNS : 8.8.8.8

Alternate Google DNS : 8.8.4.4

Method -2

There are billions of apps which claims to increase the internet speed, but most of them are fake and other are spam.
